The General Section of Malda Collectorate, Malda is operated from Room No. 217 on the 2nd Floor of the New Collectorate Building. This Section is the generator of the Malda Collectorate. This section deals with all types of jobs related to maintaining the Rule of Magistracy in the district. This section deals with the initial work receiving of all kinds of letters addressed to the District Magistrate & Collector and distributing them among all the Sections under Malda Collectorate. The arrangement of dispatching of letters concern to Educational matters, different examination related to recruitment of services of all sorts of employees both Govt. and Semi- Govt. held in the district. Officers’ training at ATI, RTC, RTI Act 2005, WBRTPS Act, 2013, Assembly question/parliament, Nirmal Bangla Diwas, CMRO, Public Grievances, Deputation, Youth Parliament, Net grant Statement & Surrender of Savings, preparation of Annual Administrative Report, Audit matters, Indo-Bangladesh Border matters, File related to Republic day/Independence Day/National Integration, Strike (Bandh) etc. along with verification of character and antecedent of newly recruited employees. Files related to the various inspection reports, Misc. Petitions, discretionary Grant of Governor/Other Higher Authorities done in this Section. Construction of all types of Government Quarters under District Magistrate, Malda’s disposal in the district of Malda are dealt in this Section. Govt. Rental Housing matters are also dealt with in this Section. Supervision regarding administrative matters are also maintained by this section in conformity with the order of the Hon’ble District Magistrate and Addl. District Magistrate (Gen), Malda. Budget Estimate and Revised Budget are also done in this Section. Maintaining the files in respect of duty roster during Puja Vacation of Malda Collectorate. Besides these, information & Technology and ISO 9001 2015 Certification are also dealt with in this General Section.
